Rupert Murdoch is proving that age is just a number when it comes to starting a new chapter in life.
The 92-year-old media mogul is set to marry girlfriend Elena Zhukova, 67, in June this year, according to The New York Times and Reuters.
Murdoch's office, on Thursday, told the NYT that Murdoch started dating Zhukova, a retired molecular biologist in the summer. The two met at a family gathering hosted by Murdoch's third wife Wendi Deng, with whom is on good terms with, according to The Guardian.
Invitations for Murdoch and Zhukova's upcoming nuptials, set to take place at Murdoch's California vineyard and estate, Moraga, have already been sent out, a rep for Murdoch told the NYT.
USA TODAY has reached out to Murdoch's rep for more information.
Who is Rupert Murdoch's fiancé?
Murdoch's fiancé, Zhukova is retired molecular biologist, who studied diabetes, including at the University of California, Los Angeles, as per the NYT.
Zhukova was previously married to Alexander Zhukov, a billionaire energy investor, who came to the United States from Moscow towards the end of the Soviet Union. He is now a British citizen and resides in London, reports NYT. Zhukova also hails from Russia, as per BBC News.
Meanwhile, her daughter Darya Zhukova was married to Russian oligarch Roman Abramovich until 2017.
This is Murdoch's sixth engagement. Murdoch was previously married to supermodel Jerry Hall, with whom he parted ways in the summer of 2022. In Spring 2023, he was engaged to Ann Lesley Smith, a retired dental hygienist. However, that engagement abruptly ended two weeks later and just a few months later, Murdoch was seeing Zhukova, reports The Guardian.
In September of 2023, Murdoch had stepped down from his roles as chair of Fox Corporation and executive chairman of News Corp, handing over the reins of his company to son Lachlan Murdoch.
